We’re proud to share that, as of 1st October 2025, the new Scania Rental System project is officially live.
This marks an important milestone for the Scania Financial Services organisation. Not because a system went live, but because of what it enables. The project brings together Fleetmaster and SAP into a single, integrated truck rentals solution that simplifies how Scania manages data, contracts, billing, and financial processes across the rental lifecycle.
At the heart of the solution is a cleaner way of working.
Business Partner and Asset data are maintained in SAP and shared seamlessly with Fleetmaster, creating a reliable single source of truth. Truck Rental contracts and billing are managed in Fleetmaster, where the operational detail belongs, while SAP CML handles the creation of rental contracts and assets, as well as invoicing, collections, and accounting. The result is better control, clearer ownership, and improved efficiency across the board.
The project kicked off in June 2025 and, by mid-September, Phase 1 had been delivered. It was a tight timeline, but one that proved what is possible when teams are aligned, focused, and committed to delivery. This was a genuinely collaborative effort, and the pace never came at the expense of quality.
This go-live is a foundation, not a finish line. It creates the platform Scania needs to grow their rental offering and to scale it responsibly across multiple African markets. It also gives Scania the flexibility to build in new functionality over time, based on real operational insight rather than theory.
The next steps of the project will be monitoring system performance during rollout and preparing for Phase 2, where additional features will be introduced to continue strengthening the platform.
Well done to the Bancon team and everyone involved in delivering this milestone. This is a stellar example of what can be achieved when the right people, systems and intent come together.
